These thumb latches are traditionally made and forge blacked and coated with beeswax which can be maintained by rubbing with a soft cloth or brush. Each bean shaped end has short lines hammered round the edges. The handle is 205mm high end to end x 20mm wide. The bean ends are 55mm wide. The latch is 168mm long x 32mm wide at the larger end.
