Cast Iron Fern Shelf Bracke

The cast iron Fern bracketfrom Castelion® is decorated with an elegant swag of fern leaves and an Arts and Crafts design. Perfect for a distinguished bookshelf, or to support a sink or cistern. Can be used either way up for larger or smaller shelf supports as there are 2 screw holes on the wall and the shelf side of each bracket.
Cast from an original Victorian pattern using traditional methods. Natural iron look with a protective lacquer finish. For interior use. Fixing screws included (please note, different screws may be required depending on loading and wall construction).
How they are made
These brackets are “sand cast” – the same process used to make the original Victorian brackets. Molten iron is poured into sand moulds formed using an antique pattern. When cool, the casts are hand finished and lacquered. This makes an authentic antique style which is not machine finished.
