Large Brass Sundial, Grow Old Along With Me

This large solid cast brass sundial depicts many ancient Roman and Greek symbols relating the sundial to time, life, science and philosophy. The gnomon depicts the image of a bird, while the dial has images of wheat sheafs and father time or the philosopher. The wording reads “Grow Old Along With Me The Best Is Yet To Be”
The sun dial is cast in 2 pieces using traditional sand casting techniques, then hand polished and left unlaquered.
Sizes: 275mm (10 3/4″) diameter x 90mm (3 1/2″) height overall. The dial itself is 5mm thick.
