Plain Bean Wrought Iron Suffolk Latc8

These traditional black Suffolk latches from Castelion® have a plain bean shaped top and base. The latch works by the thumb bar passing through the door and lifting the bar. The handle, in situ, is normally on the opposite side of the door from the bar, keep and staple. The bar height is restricted by a staple that is either hammered into or screwed onto the door.
The finish is forge blackened with a bees wax coating which can be maintained by polishing with a soft cloth.

Dimensions: Handle 220mm high x 57mm wide at bean end. The handle projects from the door 57mm. The bar is 180mm long. The screw on staple is 110mm high. Suitable for doors up to 70mm thick
